DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2005-- Zix Corporation (ZixCorp(R)), (Nasdaq:ZIXI), a global provider of secure e-messaging, e-prescribing, and e-transaction applications and services, today announced that three nonprofit healthcare organizations have recently chosen ZixCorp as their secure email provider: Seton Health System, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and Bay Area Medical Center.

Each organization has signed a contract for ZixVPM(R) (Virtual Private Messenger) email protection to help meet the email security guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). ZixVPM provides system-wide email encryption and includes a built-in HIPAA lexicon that detects outgoing protected health information to ensure compliance and patient confidentiality.
