Ease of use and network of customers made Zix the right choice
“Over the years, we’ve evaluated many email encryption solutions, and
Zix is by far the easiest to use. Its policy filters and automation make
employee communication seamless. It allows our staff to focus on patient
care and their work, instead of hurdles to send encrypted messages,”
includes policy-based email encryption, formerly known as ZixGateway®,
and email data loss prevention, formerly known as ZixQuarantine®.
With automatic scanning of email,
“Encryption is critical to keeping patient data secure in email, but people make mistakes and send messages that shouldn’t be exchanged in the first place,” said Hudson. “Whether they include an identifier in the subject line, attach the wrong file or make another error, Zix gives us the tools to automatically monitor email, take the proper steps to secure data and enhance training to prevent mistakes in the future.”
If an email triggers the quarantine policy, a notification message alerts the employee, the user’s manager and/or IT administrators. In reviewing the message, policy violations are identified, and the violating content is highlighted for easy recognition. The email can be deleted, or it can be released with justification and then encrypted based on policies.
Encrypted emails are automatically decrypted and delivered transparently if recipients use Zix’s policy-based email encryption. Of the 1.5 million Zix encrypted messages delivered every business day, approximately 70 percent are delivered transparently, without the need for passwords or extra steps. If recipients do not use a Zix solution, encrypted messages are delivered in less than two steps through a mobile-friendly, secure Web portal.
“Superior experience continues to be a critical advantage for Zix
customers. It ensures that sensitive data is better secured, users can
maintain their work pace, and IT and health administrators can meet
their obligations without interfering with patient care,” said
